Red Wedding is an imperial stout, brewed with coffee and lactose then aged in red wine barrels for over a year. Smooth flavors of coffee, vanilla, oak and wine blend together is this sweet stout to make this 12,2% imperial stout something far more dangerous than you would ever believe.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black, with hardly any head at all. Lovely wooden note from the barrel, not very distinctive - I had to read the label to realize it was red wine. Rich, sweet, licorice - surprisingly almost flat, why wasn't this carbonated? Again lovely wooden note - reminds me way more of Bourbon than red wine. The lactose was probably a smart move to neutralize some of the wine tannins. Delicious. 010319

Bottle, 11.4%. Mild chocolate aroma, sweet and oxidized wine notes. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite sweet with a distinct vinous note. Very low carbonation. Tastes a lot like port... port with a lot of raisins added. Late chocolate aftertaste. No, coffee. No, chocolate. Both, I guess. And port. Did I say port? 949419 2019 version. Draught at KØ19. Tastes the same, but this time I think the sweetness is a bit much. 848416
