On tap at Zmajska taproom. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, wet wood and barrel in the nose. Roasted malt, alcohol, wet wood and barrel with notes of dried fruits and light chocolate with rather strong boozy finish. Not so balanced.

Tap at Zmajska. Pitch black body with a brownish head. Sharp aroma, raisins and big barrel notes. More of the same taste-wise... raisins, barrel, light chocolate, some glue, kinda nice, but on the other side, quite rough. Nice, but not a top class Imperial Stout I'm afraid, not in this shape.

Fajna, szlachetna acz niezbyt intensywna beczka w aromacie, do tego troszke destylatu, niemalo czekolady, klasa aromat. W uscie gorzej, kapke wodniste, takie cocacolowe, kakaowe...przyduzo co2, niedoukladane. A>>S. Ale generalnie ryli cacy, z 3.6?

Tap at Vrteška fest 2018 in Belgrade-Serbia. Black color w with a nice brownish lacing. Nose is regular whiskey, mild and almost hidden vanilla, wet wood. Mouth: easy, round, sweet vanilla, medium finish.

KØLF 100218. black color with tan bubbles. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, raisin. Flavor is bourbon, cocos, roasted malt, licorice, alcohol, coffee, cocoa, raisin. full body. Very nice beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque pitch black with a rough, light brown head. Nose has sweet roast and a hint of Bourbon vanilla. Rich, sweet roastiness. Some discreet wood, slight tartness - but none of the sharp tannins that were prevalent in the brandy barrel version. The Bourbon is not very dominant, suggesting a not so fresh barrel, but forgive me if I'm wrong. Personaly I prefer much more Bourbon character. 120317

Bottle. Close to jet black in color, oily pour, with just a thin rim of light tan bubbles as a head. Roasted malts, coffee grit, cocoa, booze and some prunes and raisin in the aroma. There seems to be more sweetness in this one than in the Brandy edition, with licorice, roasted malts, some coffee and a pleasant touch of dried fruits in the flavor. The Bourbon is quite subdued. Some bitterness too. It’s full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, some carbonation. Lasting roasted, lightly boozy finish with licorice and some coffee grit. A very fine one indeed, and in my opinion slightly better than the Brandy edition. 180210

Poured at Shelton Festival, black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, dark chocolate, bourbon, wood, vanilla. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, hides alcohol well, very nice.

Draft sample @ Brewdog, Barcelona. Noire, col moka café au lait, léger filament doré au verre, huileux. Arôme offre de belles effluves de Bourbon, boisé fin et pas mal de vanille avec un petit côté rappelant des effluves de noix de coco. Malté caramel, chocolaté, légèrement grillé. Palais est épais, boozy ais plaisant, chocolaté avec Bourbon goodness, qcq résidus de boisé, encore un effet noix de coco.

Bottle bought at Vinmonopolet in Narvik, June 2017. Almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and bourbon. The same in the taste, also light caramel and some dark fruit. Warming alcohol in the finish.
