Good BBA stout nose, deep chocolate laced with bourbon and oak. Pour comes out almost black with brown around the edges and a beige, lace-free head. Starts with a thick layer of chocolate and dark fruits, then quickly grows a java-fueled bitterness before the bourbon and oak crank up on the back end. Vanilla and an herbal woodsiness mix with a boozy warmth on the finish. Good, but runs a little hot, and feels a tad harsh, even for 11%.

Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 24..03..2017. Fcpref 23..09..2020. (r26). Color negro intenso brillante con buena capa de espuma beige oscuro. Sabores intensos maltas tostadas ligeramente quemadas con toques de maderas empapadas en bourbon algo caramelizados y ligeras vainillas. Cuerpo intenso con buena sensación alcohólica liero amargo final. Bastante buena Para repetir sin duda.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kaffe, mørk sjokolade, noe røkt trevirke og mørke frukter. Fyldig. Salt lakris, korn, espresso og svisker.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have tons of heavily roasted, burnt bitter malts and the sweetness of Bourbon whiskey. Rich and full bodied.

0.33l bottle. Looks nice on the pour with a deep dark brown colored body under a medium sized brownish lacing head. Lots of wood, oak and darkness in the noise. Roasted, chocolate lots of cocoa and something toasty burnt. There's also traces of vanilla here. Smells a lot and quite nice. Tastes superb. It's surprisingly watery in the mouth this. It's not thin just really watery and quite soft pricking on the carbonation. Dark chocolate all the way. Cocoa beans and vanilla pods. Yeah, this really is leaving a dark flavor in the mouth for sure. If only that mouthfeel had been a little more, ehm, I'll settle for normal, this would have been a really lovely one. But cause it's not, it's just a really fine tasting one. 03.03.2017

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet, Langnes. An espresso head with lots of dimples, Fine retention and crocheted lacework on the glass. Deep black body. Inviting aroma of roasted dark chocolate with a touch of oak. Mid-sweet chocolate malty flavours supported by molasses, wood and coffee, bourbon far behind it all. Warming and lingering end. Decent sipper on a Saturday afternoon (Celebrating the return of the sun after two months, Tromsø 21.01.2017).
