Ølet Babord er eit raudleg øl med røter frå
Storbritannia, men her bruker vi òg amerikanske
humler.

Decent and easy drinkable brown ale.
Clear nutty color with a fine thick off white head. Looks good. Ok lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Bready, mild fruity, mild grassy and some roast in the flavor.

Hazy brown. Beige, medium foam. Malty aroma. Flavour containing some hints of roasted caramel and malts. Anonymous for its style. The brewer must have been very carefull with the ingredients!
Sampled at Catweazle’s great drinking session 10.06.2006.

Bottled. Red/brown beer with a small off-white head. Light roasted aroma with toffee. Flavor is round and toffeeish. Lasting, light hoppy finish. Both beers from Baatbryggeriet could use some more punch. Rating: 5-4-5-4-12-3.0. 060224

Bottle. Most likely the same recipe as the last time, but at least on new equipment as the brewery has been closed for some years between these two bottlings. It’s a clear dark chestnut colored beer with a dense finger-thick beige head that leaves some curtains. The aroma is quite nutty, with bread hints, toffee, some dried fruits and a faint meaty touch. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. Some roasted malt notes, bread, toffee and nuts in the flavor, where there’s also a vague bitterness. Malt dominated finish. A pleasant and quite tasteful beer that would be a good company for lots of different courses. 170210

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy nut brown. Nutty aroma. Sweet and lightly roasty with clean, rounded mouthfeel and a hint of berries. Medium bitterness. Not the type of beer that stands out from the crowd at a big tasting.
