On tap @ Cafe Sara. A nice creamy beige or even darkish head on this one. Deep brown body. Smells nice, lots of hoppy tones, it's almost a bit fruity. It kinda smells more like a normal IPA than a black one, but looking at the glass and reading the board make me sure of the fact that this is a black IPA. Anyhow, i really enjoy this aroma. Tastes nice also! A mild mouthdrying mouthfeel with her a about average carbonation level. A bit more dark things in the taste. Well hopped almost flowery flavors, some nutty snickers. Tastes quite good this! 14.02.2014

14.02.2014, tap @ Café Sara:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy, leafs, lots of hops, newly cut lawn, malts, hints of rubber. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, old leafs, grass, hops, dark malts, rubber, hints of licorice and coffee. Longlasting mild bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Medium sized glass, on tap at Café Sara. Tan-coloured head with fine duration and moderate lacing. All-black body. Pine and black malts on the nose. Pine needles to the taste character nicely balanced by slightly roasted dark malts. Long-lived bittersweet ending. Well-bodied. Excellent version of the style (Oslo 12.02.2014).

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown body and a creamy, beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with a nice hoppyness, pine cones and grapefruit. Mostly hoppy flavor too, with roasted malts as a backdrop. Grapefruit and pine cones and a solid bitterness. Full bodyand a very smooth carbonation. Long hoppy finish. A very fine black IPA. 140216
