Hazy golden-ish coloured body with a nice bright raw honey glow and a relatively thick two to three centimetre tall pure white head atop. Aroma of grass, very dry malts, hops, earth, wheat, light coriander seed, some citrus, a good deal of hay funk and a very noticeable pungent yeast characteristic, but very nice throughout and leading to a nice complexity throughout. Medium-bodied; Rich hop bite at first of resin and pine with some earth and grain coming through and a dose of alcohol at the finish. Aftertaste is nice and rich as well with a good balance of a lot of malt coupled with even more hops, mostly resinous and grassy, but a bit of it citrusey and definitely piney. Overall, a very nice, rich, well-balanced Imperial IPA that shows some very good sides and still leaves a great balance throughout. Nice to sample and perhaps even better in the pint-sized can. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 08-October-2017 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington in front of Whole Foods on 10-November-2017.

Pint can from Growlers to Go. Pours mostly clear, orange in color, with a thin head and some light, drippy lace. Clean aroma of orange and catty hops, some grassy notes, a bit of booze sneaks through. The flavor is really clean. A little sweet and a little bitter. Not what I expected from the aroma. Clean feel as well, doesn't come off as an 8.9% beer (which is what's listed on the can, not the 8% listed here). Pretty good.
