Prezentowane piwo Doctor Brew Double IPA to niewątpliwie trunek dla odważnych. Każdy koneser chmielowego trunku z pewnością uzna jednak, że to jedna z najlepszych rzeczy, jaką mieli okazję próbować w ostatnim czasie. Piwo Doctor Brew Double IPA jest trunkiem bardzo intensywnym. Zostało stworzone w stylu American India Pale Ale, ale dodatkowo zostało mocno podbudowane słodem. Niech nie zmyli Cię jednak ten opis. W smaku na pierwszy plan wysuwa się w nim zdecydowana nuta chmielowej goryczy. Dopiero w drugiej kolejności kubki smakowe zostaną połaskotane orzeźwiającym smakiem cytrusów i leśnej żywicy. Keg at the Warsaw beer fest. Pours clear orange with a frothy, lasting off-white head. Piney hops in the nose, ripening citrus fruits, lightly toasted malts. Medium sweet flavour with mellow piney bitterness, pleasant orange, tangerine, grass, pine, orange rind. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous and lightly oily in the finish, with lingering piney bitterness, more ripe citrus fruits. Not bad overall.

Keg at the Warsaw beer fest 2017. 08/04/2017. A mostly clear amber reddy coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is subdued, toffee, sticky pine, orange and tangerine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet Base malts, toffee, brown sugars earthy pine and tangerine. Palate is sticky sweet, moderate carbonation, bit flabby. Meh.

Hotel Room swig. Lightly hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth, mild fine carbonation. Smooth and sweetish malts, touch of caramel. Hops are a little floral bitter but morph in to decent citric peel, with a touch of tropical fruits. A little bitter aniseed underneath. Smooth finish. Floral bitter linger. All the fundamentals of a very nice dipa, just feels a bit too boil hop and not enough dry hop, but I know cock all about brewing!

500ml bottle. Murky, dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, caramel malty basis, notes of orange, mandarine, hints of blood orange, a touch of peanut. Taste is bitter hoppy, caramel malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of orange, grapefruit, mandarine; astonishingly light and dangerously drinkable.

Barwa bursztynowa, zmętnienie od drożdży, piana niezbyt obfita, dość drobna, niewielkie koronkowanie. W aromacie cytrusy, owoce, karmel, słodowość. W smaku bardzo słodkie, karmelowe, dość mocno wyczuwalny alkohol, goryczka niska do średniej - wyraźnie przygaszona słodyczą, do tego dość alkoholowa. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego. Sprawia wrażenie nalewki karmelowo-owocowej, trochę mało nut typowo cytrusowych. Zawiodłem się, gdyż po Doktorze należało się oczekiwać naprawdę dobrego piwa, tymczasem jest niezbalansowane, zbyt mało odczuwalna goryczka, za duża słodycz, czyli klątwa całkiem wielu Imperial IPA.

Bottle. Aroma piney, grassy, lightly fruity. Almost clear orange colour. Taste is highly bitter, zesty, orange, slight touch of alcohol. However seems unbalanced to me. Bitterness has a sharp quality and there is moderate caramelly sweetness which does not seem high, but not connected to the rest of the flavour. Good, but that about cuts it.

Bottle kindly shared by Kazator, many thanks. Amber golden color with medium white head. Aroma of citrus hops, notes of honey. Taste, strong citrus hops with zest, pines, caramel. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Good.

Amber colored beer with medium, but long lasting head. A LOT of citruses in aroma. Some flowers, little bit soap-like. Very intensive aroma. Very high bitterness, low sweetness but it’s present. Full body, smooth in mouth. Perfect beer.

Pours a hazy amber color, darker, topped with a decently sized though not so lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma at the start, lots of tropical fruits, some piney notes later. Taste starts with some sweetness and fruitiness but immediately run over by very decent hoppy bitterness. Nice.
