Draft at the brewery, 6/26/15.
Thought this was a solid DIPA. Strong, hoppy, and citrusy on the aroma and flavor. Not quite a perfect example of the style, but an enjoyable one. Might get a touch too sweet on the flavor.

Tap at the brewery - was served this by mistake when I asked for the abbey dubbel - oh well, I’m not going to complain about having to try another new beer - this one is a pretty basic and uneventful experience - overly sweet, simplistic malt structure - strongly citric hops, but thankfully the bitterness is restrained and non-abrasive, so in that respect, it is somewhat more balanced than other examples of the style - that sweetness, though - it’s awfully potent.

Sampled from the tap at the Mundelin beer fest. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grapefruit with notes of pine and resin and a grain backbone. Flavor has light citrus note with pine notes and some sweet grains coming out in the finish. Worked nicely.
