Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 3/20/15
Aroma: The nose is grainy malts, heavy spice/rye, toffee, and some light hop notes
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a thick, frothy beige head and heavy lace
Flavor: Taste-wise, it is strongly spiced, light sweet, with a pronounced bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, fairly easy drinking, with an average-plus carbonation
Overall Impression: I wasn't totally in to this one. Something about it just doesn't quite work. The combo of the rye/spice with the poorly played bitterness just feels like a miss overall.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy amber orange color. Medium-sized rocky beige head leaves a big clinging lace. Toasted grain aroma redolent of baked bread. Bitter toasted malt flavor has hints of rye, coconut and grapefruit peel. Bitter, dry finish.

Sampled on draft at Dad’s Pub & Grub this beer poured a brown color with a huge creamy off white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and tart with perfumey hops. The flavor was bitter and tart with floral and perfumey hops. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.
