Brewvival 2015 Trip #13. Keg at Asheville. Pours a dark orange tinted brown with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, floral and citrus hops. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, citrus and tropical hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Location: Draft at the brewery, 1/1/15
Aroma: The nose is roasted, with some underlying earth notes, and some light pine
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a brown head and some medium-plus lace
Flavor: Flavor-wise, the roasted malts are dominate over the clean, earthy hops, finishes bitter
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fairly clean feel, and a medium-heavy dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one was pretty solid and enjoyable. Overall, I felt the flavor profile across the Catawba beers was of a nice quality level.
