Keg at the brewpub, Asheville, 17/02/15. Lightly hazed golden orange topped with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is apple orchard, yeast esters, light citric notes, lemon rind. Taste comprises bitter dark fruits, caramel, citric rinds, Belgian yeast notes, candyfloss, hint of vanilla. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate tripel, at least there’s a good bitter element to balance the sweet but ultimately lacks depth for the ABV being offered.

Location: Draft at the brewpub, 12/31/14
Aroma: It has a Belgian yeast aroma, sweet, malty, fruit, and a little spice as well
Appearance: Murky orange beer, decent sized head, light, spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is along the same lines, sweet, a little boozy, and a bit of spice
Palate: The body is medium-full, a little boozy heat, and a bit of stickiness
Overall Impression: Thought this was an okay one overall. Not an outstanding example of the style, but not a bad one either.
