Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a black color with a thin tan semi-foamy head. No lace.
The aroma had some roast, light smoke, chili pepper heat, fair amount of lime, light milk chocolate and some ash.
The flavor blended all of the previously mentioned aromas together fairly nice. No aftertaste but a semi-lime sweet to tart and ash-like finish.
The feel was just a tad underneath of medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it due to the chili burn which wasn’t overbearing, just noticeable. ABV felt fine. Carbonation felt good.
Overall, quite interesting and pretty much a palate wrecker. I could see myself coming back to this.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Solid black with a long lasting tan head. Wicked lime and citrus aroma and flavor with a solid earthy pepper heat. Odd beer, but I really enjoyed it.

Location: Draft at Tap NY, 4/27/13
Aroma: The nose has roasted malts, lime, chocolate, coffee, and a bit of chili as well
Appearance: This one has a dark brown pour with a brown head and plus lacing
Flavor: The chili and lime worked really well with the roasted malts, and achieved a nice result
Palate: The body is on the lighter side, it has a nice mouthfeel, and a spicy tingle
Overall Impression: This one was up there in the top tier of the beers I tired at the festival because it is both well made and unique. I really enjoyed getting to try this one.
