The heritage and tradition of hand-crafting the worlds finest beers dates back to 1845 at the Minhas Craft Brewery. This pilsner is named in recognition of our 165 year history. The “all-malt” pilsner remains true to its name using only 100% 2 row brewers pale malts following the old world European traditions of brewing. A perfect balance of flavors is achieved by procuring the exact blend of malt and hops and fermenting the brew with our proprietary yeast. A truly classic old-world pilsner beer.

Tasting Notes
A truly classic old-world pilsner beer; the 1845 Pils starts with a light malt aroma followed by a floral hop scent. The crisp, clean and well-rounded taste leaves just a subtle touch of bitterness that rolls lightly on the sides of the tongue and is refreshed and cleansed with each sip.
Cheese and Food Pairing
1845 “All Malt” Pils will pair especially well with spicy meat soups and stews, sautéed vegatables and spicy asian foods. Gouda cheese would be a good choice to serve with this beer.

Clear Golden Color, Medium White Head Did Not Last, Decent Thin Lacing. Unpleasant Funky Corn Aroma. Taste about the same: Corn, Lightly Sweet, Light Bitter With Metal Aftertaste. Watery Thin. Brew master’s Dream, Drinkers’ Nightmare, heh? You’d think, that with brewing tradition since 1845 they’d know by now how to make a decent beer. On a positive side, at least they are consistent... making shitty beer every time. Would Rather Drink Miller than this. Once was enough. Pass It...

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of herbal hops and some light spice. Taste is light spicy hops. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. overall, ok. Nothing really special here.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 10/29/12
Aroma: The nose is pale malts, some grains, fruity notes, honey, and some light hoppiness
Appearance: It pours a hazed golden-orange color with a small sheet of white head and some light lace
Flavor: The taste of this beer is a little bit sweet, somewhat grainy, and has a light bitterness to it
Palate: The body is fairly light as well, it has average-to-fizzy carbonation, and a slightly off mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This one was not a favorite for me. Nothing about it was truly terrible, but it hardly stuck out in any way, shape, or form. I'd pick it over some crappy adjunct lager, but it wasn't really all that much better then a lot of those either. Not really a winner for me.

bottle - Pours clear yellow-gold with a thin white head. It has a grainy malt aroma with some sugary and debatably fruity notes. The mild flavor is of sweet, grainy malt and barely there hops. It’s watery as hell. This sucks.

12oz bottle. Hyper filtered golden color. Horribly off aroma, seriously bad. I detect something sorghum-like adjuncticity. This beer would be the pride of Bulgaria, but a quality Pils it is not. If this was a 2.00 40oz I’d give it props. Some Cream-Ale qualities certainly, which almost make up for the disgusting aroma, but not quite. Not worth seeking out.
