This beer is named after the legendary Swiss patriot of the 14th century. Made with green apple puree, Ginger Gold apples, cinnamon and star anise for a refreshingly tart, slightly sweet, fresh apple, spiced nose.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 10/5/12
Aroma: The aroma has a little cinnamon, some clean malts, and just a little bit of fruitiness/apple
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a white head
Flavor: The taste is crisp and malty, not overly sweet, good spice, and mildly tart
Palate: The body is light, it has a clean, smooth, drinkable feel, and a soft body
Overall Impression: I thought the apple and spice were present to just about right amount here. It certainly doesn't get overly sweet, which would have been the concern based on the description. It has a clean and crisp fell to it. I found this one to be quite good, and fairly unique.
