I assume I have the right beer as the label mentions the use of hemp-like flavors and terpenes, but its just titled Brownie on the can. Other sites just call it Brownie too. I guess who cares? Does anybody even read these anymore? I don't. (but I never did anyway). So it pours opaque brown in the glass. Has an interesting chocolatey nose. I get maybe some cascade hop nose but definitely no terpenes. This tastes quite a bit like a classic chocolatey semi-sweet impy stout with a rousing dose of c-hops. And that's really not a bad thing. Hard to call it a pastry stout but again, who cares? I don't. Fairly smooth and rounded palate, I feel like I quite like it, but there is this little hint of something weird in there, something slightly bitter and herbal, maybe even hinting at soy sauce like another rater said, but I'm not sure about that really...but its weird and gives it a bad aftertaste. A lot of promise here if we could just keep that semi-sweet chocolate thing going. I'm left completely unsure if I even like this and that's a strange situation. But I suppose if the beer is unable to get me to commit, then fuck it. But who cares?

Can from a variety four pack: Potting soil, okra, fudge nose. Black, virtually headless. Very earthy potting soil, clay, moss, cocoa. Medium body, easy carbonation. Not overtly weedy, but there's a dominant earthy presence that would be nice if it was restrained a bit. Uprated for the variety four pack. That's what this ticker loves.

Can (7/13/20) pour from Guilty Pleasures 4-pack from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is opaque black (dark brown at bottom of the glass) with no sparkle, 1/2-finger width khaki head with decent retention and no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and a weird, herbal/minty character (but not really weedy). Taste is similar to aroma but the minty (non-sweetened toothpaste?)/straw character is front and center and not pleasant. Background chocolate and coffee that isn't enough to overcome the beginning. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, nice alcohol warmth, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the weird minty/straw quality is just too much to overcome. Easily the worst of the 4 Guilty Pleasures.

Can part of mix 4 pack of desert stouts. Fine looking dark pour and large frothy head. Nose is chocolate brownie and light hemp. Tastes earthy hemp, brownies, coffee. Not nearly as childish as the G20 sweetwater series. Just touch of Mary Jane on finish. Thinner bodied and hides the abv well

From a 12 oz can. Pours black with a small tan head. Aromas are dank hay and cocoa. Flavors are sweet chocolate. What were they thinking?

Black, smells like leather shoe and marijuana. Smells like skunk butt. gross. Creamy finish. I just don't like how weed smells or taste I guess?
