Location: Draft at the Philly Brewpub, 4/7/11
Aroma: The nose is rather malty, caramel, dark fruits, candied sugar, and Belgian yeast
Appearance: It pours a dark amber color with a beige head and some decent lacing
Flavor: The taste is rather sweet, similar components to the nose, minimal bitterness is present
Palate: It drinks fairly nicely with a relatively smooth mouthfeel and a fairly soft carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, I enjoyed this one, I really found it to be quite good, but it was just a little too sweet for me. I could have used a bit of balance, the heavy sweetness takes it down a notch in my book, but even still, it is a fairly good beer.
