Location: Draft at Rogue Public House in San Fran, 5/12/11

Aroma: The nose has some Belgian yeast, fruity notes, malts, spice, and some hops
Appearance: This one pours into the glass a mostly clear amber-orange color
Flavor: Flavors of yeast, spice, some light fruity sweetness, and some hop bitterness on the finish
Palate: This one was drinkable for sure, with a decent body, and above average carbonation
Overall Impression: This one is kind of a funny story, because the night before I tried it I was drinking next to the brewer at La Trappe, and he mentioned that his first beer was on tap around town. I said sure, if I see it, I'll definitely try it, but since I was only going to be in town for about 1-2 more days total, I figured it was a long shot. Low and behold, the very next day I walked into Rogue, look up at the board, and I see this one there. Well, I figured I had to order one at that point, and so I did. I was not disappointed at all by this one. A very nice first offering from a new brewery. This one was basically a slightly hoppy Belgian style Tripel, but it was pretty well made, and just kind of worked. Keep brewing, but I would suggest a name change, as the "Cherry" in "Cherry Voodoo" definitely confuses people into thinking they are ordering a fruit beer.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Sweet malt and light yeast aroma. Sweet malt and light spice flavor with yeast and orange esters. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and light spice lingers with yeast and fruity esters.
