Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-nut brown color with a huge creamy orange-brown head that lingered and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was gritty floral hops - bitter and fairly intense. The flavor was toasty malts, bitter gritty floral hops, vague fruity hops and hints of chocolate and wood. Long bitter hoppy and malty finish. medium body. Solid.

Bottle from the lazy dog, Deep amber/copper color with a decent sized off white head. Aroma of toffee caramel and a hint of chocolate maltiness with a decent amount of citrus and pine to counter. Big maltiness with toffee and caramel dominating. Earthy pine and citrus hopiness to counter. Decent brew. I kind of enjoyed the caramel light chocolate maltiness but the hop aroma and flavor could be turned up a bit if you are going to call this an IPA.

12 oz. bottle purchased at the Beer Store, Nashua. Date on the neck stamped 9/ 16/ 14 which is why I picked it up. Dark red/ amber color with lasting head retention, sticky lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma is earthy malts (swear I smell dried leaves) with herbal hops.

Body is a standard medium with the earthy malts lingering through the sip. Bitterness is lingering in the form of whole cone or leafy “green” hops. It also has a mild spice note in the main body. Nothing really stands out in the way of flavor yet, still a drinkable rather enjoyable.
