Motueka is quickly becoming one of our favorite hop varieties here at Cellarmaker. It’s grown in New Zealand and has a distinct lemon lime characteristic that creates a super refreshing flavor profile in the beers it is a part of. Along with the Motueka this beer has Simcoe, Centennial and Citra hops as well. Oats are in the grist to add body to this beer.

Sample from cask at Mikkeller Bar SF (and later on draught at the Cellarmaker tap room). The beer pours a slightly hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a mildly spicy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dark orange and cloudy nose of jasmine. Roses and peach. Bright tree fruit. Minor shoe polish. Mouthfeel is spot on just like very other cellarmaker beer. Taste is minor pine, grapes. Peach. Kiwi and persimmon. Fruit bomb with resinous dank. IBUs are out of the park.
