As the Kernville temps dip our spicy rye Winter Ale warms up the taps. It gets its kick from rye but has plenty of hops to balance out the malt.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma of piney hops, buttery malt and sweet caramel malt - very piney on top. Flavour is intensely piney and buttery, with some dry citrus peel and more pine. Delicious piney hop bomb.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours hazy light amber with a 3 finger foamy/frothy beige head. The nose is very fruity - mostly ripe light stone - peach/apricot. Full bodied. The flavor is very fruity/hoppy. With just a hint of caramel below. But enough to hold all this hop. With time the flavors reduce towards canned peach, then on to citrus rind. Really delectable.

Pours a rather cloudy golden yellow with mid-sized head. Strong citrusy aroma (almost smells like orange juice). Big hop flavor with citrus notes and an underlying sweetness. Nice bitter finish.

Bomber thanks to Richard. Pours a very cloudy orange color with a thick white head. The aroma is rich oranges and lemon. A rich, very dry flavor with citrus, dried orange peel, some light bitterness but not a lot, smooth and creamy. Very dry. A nice showcase of the Falconerβs Flight hops. Grapefruit and dry earthiness. Well done.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden body and a very large, foamy, bone hued head. Great lace and retention. Aroma is hoppy...nearly outrageously so. Full of citrus, lime, lemon, grapefruit, orange, papaya, mango, a touch spicy with a hint of pine. A hint of a candish note. Malt is lightly bready and toasty. Light esters. Flavors are pine, citrus, grainy, light dill notes, tons of citrus, grapefruit. Apparent alcohol. Malt is bread like but hidden. This beer is about the hops, with some alcohol. Light fruity esters. Drying. Obvious warmth. Medium to lively bubbles. Quite enjoyable! Honestly at its freshness right now it is about equal to a 10-14 day old Pliny bottle (in quality and price). A feat by itself.

Bomber bottled on May 12th from Country Club Liquors. Nose is tons of ivy and piney hops that waft out on you as you open the bottle mixed with a very light malty sweet aroma. Hazy copper orange with a medium beige head. Flavor is moderate bitterness with hints of pine and a lightly sweet backbone. Finishes lightly bitter. I agrre with my son in law who calls it Double "Just Outstanding".
