Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Hot caramel and pine aromas. Sweet with hot caramel, earthy tropical fruit skin and pine before the lasting pith finish.

Draught at Canary Square, 9/19/21.
Deep maize-bronze, light haziness, but not excessive. Small, white head shows moderate retention.
Nose is soft and mineral-like with a pleasant yeast and hop-derived fruitiness that is free from bubble gum. Hops are actually pretty understated, especially for a DIPA, but still enjoyable, lending passion fruit, dank, green notes, yellow and/or tropical fruits and very light acidity. Malts add light cracker and hints of dough, seemingly nicely attenuated and no alcohol or flaw is noted.
Juicy, though not excessively so, in the mouth, with soft, malty textures and good attenuation. Cracker/biscuit/dough with light honey and tons of light tropical fruit and deeper mineral and other complex hop flavors abound. Good heft to it without being sluggish or too full and just an all-around well-executed, solid, if not flashy, DIPA. Not sure why NEIPAs have departed so drastically, for the worse a majority of the time, from the original Vermont style IPAs.

16oz can. 8 days after canning. I guess I was expecting another hazy. This is more of a classical IIPA, a lot of sweetness. Pretty nice hop tone, but the Nelson isn't really that definitively pronounced. A tasty IIPA for sure, but perhaps not really commanding the 18 dollars it cost for a 4pack. Juicy, fresh. OK.

22 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a cloudy opaque golden orange with a small white head. Nose brings out tangy hops, lots of dankness, and kiwi-like fruit. Flavour is super fresh, with tropical fruits, especially kiwi, tangy dank hops, and light citrus. Dry, tangy and bitter. Excellent stuff.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours golden orange with medium white head. The nose is urine, fresh mint, earth, pine, salty edge and orange squash. The taste is pithy citrus, metal, resin, tangy marmalade, orange and grapefruit with a bitter citric finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty tasty. A solid Double IPA.

Bottle at Bruce’s, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, frothy white head. Lots of crisp pee in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, sturdy pale malts, some light grass, urine, dry orange. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, some dry needles, moderately sweet pale malts, some sticky grass. Really nice stuff.
