bottle courtesy of Cavie, pours caramel with a medium off white head. Aroma is hay and some floral hops. Flavor is rich biscuit and grass malt flavors, some sweet caramel and thin bitter finish. Not very well balanced.

September 2009 Beer of the Month Club , 11/8/09

Aroma: Smells of mostly yeasty malts and some earth like notes
Appearance: A clear dark orange color with a fizzy off-white head (mild retention)
Flavor: Somewhat balanced flavor, leaning more toward the malty side
Palate: It has a nice mouthfeel, medium dryness, mildly thin and highly smooth
Overall Impression: This makes for a decent beer, nothing super exciting, but it hits the mark for a drinkable and simple session brew. If you are looking for something with a lot of complexity, this is not the right beer, but what it is trying to be it does a pretty solid job.

This one came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a medium sized orange-cream head. The aroma was faintly malty, lightly fruity and a touch yeasty. The flavor was dry, bitter and nutty with moderate fruity and floral hops and a touch of caramel. The finish was short, tangy and fruity. Medium body. Ok.
