Redhook Blonde combines the best attributes of a flavorful golden ale with the refreshing qualities of a lager. The ale is brewed with three different malts and two hop varietals. Lightly roasted barley and a touch of wheat, combined with an ample portion of hops, creates a truly crowd pleasing beer .

Redhook Blonde pairs well with medium flavored foods such as fish, nachos or salad.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a thin white head. The aroma is mainly pale malt. The flavor is of pale, bready malt with a hint of hops. It’s light bodied and mild though fortunately it’s not too terribly watery. It’s rather bland as this style usually tends to be, but not too bad overall.

Bottle during a BJCP training session. Clear golden body with a medium creamy white head with good retention. Sweet malty aroma, some toastiness. Sweet malty flavor, some toastiness and biscuit. Light grainy. Medium body but fairly smooth.

Bottle. Poured golden with a small whitish head. Aroma is a light amount of citrus and some hoppiness. Relatively refereshing. It is certainly not a bad beer, but there’s nothing spectacular about it.

Bottle. Poured golden with a medium white fast disappearing head. Not much aroma, just a bit of hops and bread. A light body, a bit of malt, citrus and biterness. A little tang to the finish. This is a very average bottle of beer.

Pour is of course golden with a large white head. Aroma is faint malts with a touch of grassy hops. Nothing really stands out but it is a nice sweet aroma. Flavor is hoppy and dry with some bitterness and a slight sweetness. This is just fine on a warm night but not much more than that. Its also fairly cheap.

Golden blonde color is perfect match for this brew. Aroma is slightly hoppy with malty tones. Taste is clean, with light hops, somewhat consistent with other Red Hooks, yet with a lighter flavor. Easy to drink and finished clean.

I have never been a big fan of this brewer. Sampled this one from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized yellowish head. The aroma is lightly fruity and faintly sour. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The flavor is sweet with a light grainy undertone and a slightly dry sour malt finish.

Light hop aroma. Light brown color with a large head. Sweet malt; enjoyable for what it is. Medium body. The wheat is barely noticeable, but it is there.
