Goose Fact: The first noble goose showed up in the 17th waterfowl collection of British King James II. As the proud brewers of Wild Goose Brown Lager, we borrow back from the British, and the result is a true session ale brewed in the classic London style. Bottoms up, and be sure to recycle.

Bottle. I it was the hops but it was just little more bitter then I expected. Somewhat of a burnt malt, toast taste. Aroma, same a taste. Brown color with a nice head and lace.

Overall Impression: Generously, I'll call this a half decent brown, dull flavors, slightly malty, not much there...

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a trace of a khaki head that faded quickly. The aroma was tangy, malty and had light fruity hops - though a bit off. The flavor was bitter, sharp, roasty and dry with a tangy dry finish. Unimpressive.

12oz bottle. Minimal, non-offensive odor. Deep brown chestnut color. Not quite opaque, but pretty close. Mellow dark malt flavors with a smooth sugary finish. Mild hop balancing, no real stand out characteristics. Very easy drinking with a pleasant body. Not as good as the Nut Brown Ale, hopefully not a replacement.
