From old tasting notes. Orange a Amber color. Creamy tan head. Spicy, metallic malt aroma. Intense toasted malt and bitter hop flavor. A real mouthful of hops here. More like a Bavarian Christmas lager than an ale. Hops dominate from start to finish. Long bitter aftertaste.

Winter 2002-2003. Putting the words "Winter or Holiday" in a beer's title implies that you cannot have any preconcieved ideas about what you'll find inside. The spicy notes hinted at in the aroma fail to make it to the front as a flavor, leaving it as just a good ale. Needs a little more complexity but otherwise is a good smooth malty brew with a dry finish.

Winter 2002/2003 Bottle: Dark ruby/amber with a medium light beige head. Aroma is lightly spiced and malty. Flavor is not as spicy as many holiday brews. This brew is mostly on the malt side with some hops and spice, but neither in great quantity. On the scale of most holiday brews I have tried this is on the mild side but it was better than average.

Dark reddish amber. Citric, roasty aroma. Medium bodied with fruity flavour, crystal malt profile and a balanced bitter finish.
