When brewing Black IPAs it’s not hard to end up with dark, burnt malts overshadowing the tangy hop flavours. We like to think we found the perfect balance. It was our goal that the main difference between this black IPA and a pale IPA was that… it’s black!
It wafts of pine, resin, grapefruit and herbs, all subtly complemented by malty, chocolatey notes.
Beer is also available with a citrus zest – it’s called Blackcyl Special Edition, and in strengthened version – Blackcyl Double.

Bottle. Jet black pour, beige head. Cocoa powderC dark chocolate, resinous hops make a pleasant mix in the nose and taste, just as I like it. Could have been a tad heavier on body, but otherwise it’s quite aight.

06.12.2022 Aromat słodowy trochę palony, ale głównie chmiele Ciemnobrązowe, piana brunatna. utrzymuje się Nagazowanie wysokie, treściwość nieduża, finał gorzki palono chmielowy, cierpkie od chmielu. Smak chmielowy, trochę palony, słodycz niska. Ogólnie smaczna ipa z posmakiem palonym, piłem lepsze ale ta tez jest dobra

Аромат не такой хмелевой как мне казалось по стилю. Много жженого солода, немного кофе и черного шоколада. Цвет темный, пенка есть но не стойкая и быстро падает. Вкус горький как и ожидалось. Много жженки при этом, намеки на кофе снова и зерна бобов. При глотке тем не менее есть баланс хороший, по крайней мере с начала. Ощущается немного сухости, снова шоколадка, жженый солод, хмель конечно и много. В целом не самая плохая черная ипашка, но слишком горькая.

Can 0.5l, one year aged. Cloudy, dark red to black colored. AROMA- roasted, citrusy, dark chocolate, needleleaves, wood, pu-erh. FLAVOR- smooth, neutral, moderately bitter, roasted and chocolate base, citrusy, needleleaves, resiny. Medium bodied. Really good.

Beige head on this almost black beer. It has brown edges when you put it against the light. Fruity aroma, with creamy hints and some dark chocolate background. Overall quite faint. Very bitter, but also quite sweet. Full body.

Bottle at Gardens tasting by Beermalade.Dark brown color with medium beige head. Light roastiness in aroma together with pleasant citrus hops. Taste starts coffe-ish, light chocolade, which is quicky overlapped by clear citrus hoppy bitterness. Nice medium hoppy finish with coffee touch. Nice.

On tap @Kufle i Kapsle in Warsaw-Poland. Coffee bean pour with an off-white foam head with a persistent retention. Nose: roast and resin, pine needles crashing coffee notes. Some lactose. Mouth: cappuccino overall, milky with a roast malty bitterness.
