"In 1944 the remains of a mammoth were found in a gravel pit just outside the village. It is estimated that the mammoth met it's fate during a warm period during the ice age between 50 and 100000 years ago.
We at Jämtlands bryggeri celebrates both the mammoth and our village with the launch of a new beer: 'PILGRIMSTAD MAMMUT'.
The mammoth was a big animal. Pilgrimstad mammut is a big beer, certainly bigger than any Elephant we know of.
PILGRIMSTAD MAMMUT is a lager beer and I suppose it could be described as an Octoberfest/Helles hybrid. It is certainly a stark starköl but hopefully a beer that be enjoyed for its fine aroma and soft caramel ntes as well as its alcohol content."

Amber coloured. Big pear aroma. Full bodied and sweet, a slight hint of citrusd. Complex with soft mouthfeel and nicely bitter finish.
