At the Dominion Taproom at Dulles airport 9/12/2012. Deep amber with a slight white head that left rings down the glass. Light, sweetish aroma of caramel, with a hint of hedgerow fruit and leafy hops. Flavour had cereals, more caramel and a moderately bitter finish. Easy drinking.

Overall Impression: A little surprised when I noticed I hadn't rated this one. Dominion makes a pretty solid pale ale. I've had it out of the bottle a good number of times, do not recall ever consuming on tap, but I may have. Solid, well balanced, and easily drinkable brew.

Tap at the Dulles location. Pours a rich reddish copper with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of citric hop. Flavor is lush floral and citrus hop over a decent malt backbone. Rather more ESB than APA. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Not real bitter, but bitter enough. Pretty well balanced. Medium levels of bitter persist through the finish. Gets a bit astringent. Overall impression of lushness.

At tap at IAD. Amber colour with a slight brown accent. Woody, cascadey aroma with tropical fruit accents. Woody taste with some sweetish malts. Strongly reminiscent of SNPA. Slightly sticky finish.

Draught at Old Dominion Brewhouse, Washington DC
Deep blond color. Light but nice hop aroma. It has some malt flavor, getting better in the final, with a discreet hopping; quite strong bitterness, with fairly good hops. Pleasant.

12 oz. bottle from a sampler, bottle 073108. Clear brown pour with not much head. Cascade hop aroma is strong with some vegetal notes. Very leafy hop taste with a grainy malt background. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Chestnut and grapefruit aroma in excellent proportions. Hazy ochre color with a thick yellow head. Quite dry and nutty, but not strong and not very good either. It leaves a bitter waxy film that ruins it for me. How can something smell so nice and taste so bad? There must be aromatic additives.
