Pours a copper out of the bottle. Nice big white head that lasts long after the first sip. Aroma is very piney and earthy. Flavor is of course hoppy! Damn hoppy! I also get some citrus as its rolls over the tounge. Very nice but i can see how some may not like it. Its hopped out the wazoo.

A person could keep busy just tracking down the anniversary beers from the different craft brewers. This Double IPA is a rich orange/amber color with a medium and creamy off-white head. Nice lacing rings for the whole glass. The aroma is a potent array of hops, citrus and pine. Full body, and despite what the label states the hops are not overboard in any way. Actually the hops are understated at times, and there is a nice citrus and malt balance, making this a tasty treat. The 9% ABV creeps up toward the end of the glass too. The finish is tart hops with a hint of sweet fruit. All in all this is a nicely balanced Imperial IPA that I could enjoy any time.

Very much like Three Floyds Dreadnaught IPA without the thick malt. Classic pine/grapefruit hops aroma leads to similar citrusy, tart grapefruit flavors with pine and even floral, perfumey hops mingling with sweet caramely malt. Very chewy and somewhat toasty. The body itself is clear amber/copper with a medium light tan head. Recommended for hopheads and fans of 3Fs Dreadnaught or Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.
