On tap @ the brewery during San Francisco 7/7/14 beer tour. Pours a red orange appearance with a tan head. Buttered popcorn, dull fruity hops, and slight toast in the nose. Twangy, lemon/tangerine fruity, buttery flavor. For fucks sake, does every beer here have to be a fucken butter bomb.

on tap-pours a light tan head and hazy amber color. Aroma is soft resin/herbal, some medium malt. Tase is resin/dank herbal hops, secondary medium malt-toasty/caramel.

On tap a the brewpub. Pours with a copper hued body with a white head. Aromas of suntan lotion, caramel, toffee and toast. Extremely malt forward. Flavors of caramel, tea and only a touch of citrus. Even for an English IPA, this is VERY malt forward. Medium carbonation.

Draught at the brew pub, SF. Amber looks with a small off white head. Some fruit and grassy hop in the nose but all a bit muted. Hop profile not assertive enough in the flavour which ends up being wishy washy. Vague grainy/metallic quality which didn’t really win me over. Drinkable but rather uninspiring fayre and teetering towards the tedious.

On tap at the Brewpub
Appearance: Golden/straw color with a off white head, no lacing
Aroma: Yeast
Taste: Yeast (potato?), some citrus
I didn’t get alot of hops in the aroma or taste, mostly yeast. Not a bad beer, just different. I wouldn’t say this was close to a IPA.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a golden color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Slighlty sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy finish.

(10/30/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in San Francisco. 6.1%. Deep golden color. Aroma has some slightly floral hops and some vegetal yeastiness. Sweetish flavor with some malt, vegetables and some strange bitter hops afterward. Also some sour buttery notes. Medium-bodied.

On tap at the Magnolia Pub. It pours gold with bright white head and decent lacing. The aroma swings more malty with roasted malts mixed with bread and toffee. The flavor starts with both hop bitterness from pine hops and a bit of floral hops as well as roasted malts, bread and faint butter and toffee.

(On tap) Clear, pale, amber colour with a small, lacing head. Fresh hop aroma with citrus and pine needles. Medium body with light notes of caramel but otherwise completely dominated by the dry, lightly citric aroma hops leaving a solid dose of bitterness. 210307
