Bottled - vintage 2007, sampled January 2008. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with primary notes of caramel, but also a light spicy touch and some over ripe fruits. The flavor is very sweet with notes of dusty hops, caramel, alcohol, fruit, and some nuts, leading to a dry spicy finish. The first time I had this I didn’t think much of it, but the second time I fancied it. Thanks Alex (fiulijn) for the trade many years ago.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Vintage 2004 - 8.5% ABV in this version. Hazy, amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and alcohol. Medium body, a little low in carbonation. Fruit, caramel and a fairly alcoholic finish with some lightly oxidized sherry notes. 120108

Bottled, 2004 vintage, thanks Bov! Cloudy orange, off white creamy head. Citric almondy aroma. Sweet, thick and vinous. gernerously maltywith plenty of butterscotch. The alcohol shines through and adds pepperiness. Very flavourful, there’s also oranges, grass and licorice.

Vintage 2003
Cloudy amber color; poor head retention. Malty aroma, with a spicy touch of cloves. Quite sweet, good body structure, malty, spicy (cloves over all), with a good caramel/bitter final. Must gain some complexity; anyway, it should be better in a couple of years.
