Standard lager from a Limburg brewery which has a much larger output than one would expect, since they brew an awful lot of bland lagers under commission, also for foreign companies. This one, though, is sold under their own name. Orange blonde ’pils’ with creamy head and malt sweetish character, bit metallic, with grassy and soapy hops. Drinkable and perhaps somewhat better than AB InBev’s or Alken-Maes’s standard lagers, but still a bland mass marketed lager like most others - but I guess this is what this style is all about.

Clear light golden colour, two finger white foamy head, recedes slowly, sticky lacing. Aroma light sweet malts, grain, weak hop notes. Taste of sweet grainy malt and mild bitterness. Light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering mild bitter finish, okay.

Use to get this in a 4-pack at the LCBO, but now available in singles. Pours a clean light-golden colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and lots of soapy lace. Smells nice at first pour with the Pils grassy nose and hints of fruits, but a little after, the rusty hop aromas appear (that I am not a fan of). The taste is watery with some sweet malts and wet metallic water. Was much better when I had from the can, but when poured into a glass... on this one you can pass.

Can, 158 yen from Yamaya served in a half-pint glass. It pours a pale light gold with a huge fizzy white head that leaves decent lacing. Too pale in color for me. A soapy, herbal & grassy aroma. Light-medium body oily mouthfeel, with a sweet, sugary, grain, soapy taste at first which then finishes on a slightly bitter finish. Am not a fan of that soapy flavor.

Tall can: Pours clear gold with a tall white head. Grassy, grainy malt aroma. Taste is cardboard, grainy bitter. Basically...just unpleasant.

Tasted in August 2011. Aroma is hoppy. Appearance is clear blond with long lasting head. Attack is hoppy with a slight bitterness. No other particular taste was noticed. Very ordinary and common pilsner.

25CL bottle at home, Clear golden beer with a white head, aroma is strong, can’’t find what it is. Taste really soft, nothing harsh in bitterness or like that, It’’s drinkable, especially for the 40 cent’’s i paid for the bottle.

A golden lager with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, grainy malt with light German hops, light sulfur. In mouth, a boring grainy malt with soapy qualities, faint corn and hops, so-so.
