Green plastic bottle holding 50 cl (16.9 fluid ounces), screw-top, best before mid December 2007, drank 1st November 2007. Poured into one of my Veltin Pilsner glasses ( 20cl size) three times. All pilsners should be a clear golden yellow in colour, some are really pale, some darker, this is midway between and looked fine. A good white head, which did sink a little fast, to leave a thin covering above the beer which had a steedy stream of bubbles slowly meandering up the body towards the head. Can you smell dry hops and dry yeast? Well most likely not, in a beer anyway. That is what hit my nose. I normally give pilsners a 3 for aroma because I rarely smell anything, but I can smell this one and it isn’t to my likeing. The dryness carries on into the taste, again not really to my likeing, it is not refreshing or as clean tasting as a German pilsner and lacks the fizz of an Italian Med Lager. It sits between the two and fails to excite me at all. Strangely, the bigger the mouthful the more I liked it, a supping beer it isn’t, but a throwing or quaffing beer maybe. Trouble is a don’t quaff or throw beer down my throat anymore, I like to supp and savour the taste. Ever licked a shoe box?

Light golden colour, white head. Aroma of grass, hay and grains. Flavour light bitter, light malty, quite sweet. Short bitter finish. Light and refreshing, not a lot of flavour.

Canette 500ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle, de houblon herbeux (foin) avec des notes de pain ainsi que de faibles traces de maïs sucré et de légumes bouillis. Plutôt mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux petites notes aqueuses. Goût de grains de malt pâle sucrés accompagné de traces de légumes bouillis lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de pain puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume asséchante de houblon herbeux (foin, léger gazon mouillé). Post-goût moyen et aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux.

Can. Light malt aroma, some apple, grass. Average nose, but a bit strange. Grain, malt, cardboard flavor, slightly sweet, low hops, some bread, corn. Ok but bland, light, cardboard is annoying. Worse than cheap Japanese beer.                                            

500mL can, pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma and flavour of grassy hops, cereal and skunk cabbage. Boring, but drinkable.

0.33l can. This pours a unfiltered light golden body with a thin white little lager-head. Aroma is light malty, traces of fruity-yeast and some thin watery hops. Light oily mouthfeeling, average carbonation and light bodied. Tastes mild malty, notes of something ripe-fruity and it ends medium bitter with a both semi-dry and quite watery aftertaste. Drinkable, indeed. Actually can remind me a tiny bit of a home brew or a micro brew.

330ml can. Straw-coloured with a small white head. Smells of hay with some earth and lemon. Taste has some bland grainy sweetness and a little nondescript bitterness. A little lager sourness. Pretty ordinary, but not horrible.
