A special beer designed to celebrate ten years in the business by our brewer Alessio Gatti. Despite its high alcohol content, it features an extremely pale color as it is produced solely using Pils malt in order to emphasize the complexity of the hopping, the result of a skillful combination of prestigious Australian and North American varieties.

22-12-16 // bottle. pours a clear golden orange beer with a solid white head. Wouldnt classify it as an Imperial Pils, taste lot more like a DIPA. Strong hopppy nose. Good malty backbone with loads of bitter hops in the end. Also providing a light fruity grassy hop aroma.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is very light and a little soft but still has decent fine carbonation. Light as a feather malts, nice mild level of sweetness. Lovely airy floralness also mildly sweet. Peach and lesser apricot dominates the backend with a nice touch of spicy orange. Mild bitterness and spice on the light finish. Delightfull! Not very Lager like at all but a lovely drinkable beer that hides it’s 10% superbly. Great stuff!

Bottle @ LIBF’16. Shared with the RB Belgian team.

Apparently a bottom-fermented equivalent to their double IPA and in that sense a kind of ’double IPL’ as it were - doubtlessly the least ’standard’ of their beers, at least of the ones they served at LIBF. Creamy, off-white, moussy head, lightly hazy pure golden colour. Aroma has urine-like ’old hops’ and even something buttery, hemp, yellow grapefruit, dry white wine, old cheese. Soft and clearly subdued fruitiness, more a pure malt fruitiness indeed, as can be expected from a lager; supple and full, lightly bready malt body, long spicy and grapefruity, but also retronasally cheesy hops, bittering and drying, with some warming alcohol. As in most IPLs, hops get all the credits here, but in its particular style, this is an accomplished example.
