The most notable thing is that it is our first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!

One of Beavertown's greatest hits and their flagship IPA, from a can at Kantien in Ghent. Strange this one hadn't crossed my path before, now that I come to think of it... Thick, regularly shaped, snow white, 'membranously' lacing head over a hazy yellow blonde beer with some visible fizz, looks nice. Aroma of old grapefruit juice, orange zest, pink pepper, damp marijuana, frying sweet onions, wakame, mango. Cleanly fruity onset, very restrainedly unripe pineapple- or green banana-like sweetish, lime touch, slight green olive-like umami accent adding some depth, medium fizz, smooth and supple, bit fluffy mouthfeel; brief and unexpected honeyish sweet accent pops up in the middle but quickly fades again, against a background of soggy bready - cereally malt sweetishness; long aromatic hop finish, dried mango, some exotic pepper, grapefruit peel, star fruit, sweet onion, meanwhile laying a resiny, grapefruity, long bitterness on the root of the tongue. Perfectly desinged and executed, very elegant and refined IPA - another clear proof of Beavertown's skills in modern craft beer.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of bread, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, resin and lots of fresh hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Hazy light golden color. Big heady piney nose. The hops are super pugnant and fresh in this baby. Nice light medium body, modest bitterness. Extraordinarily approachable and quaffable. Dry moderate bitter finish. This is what an IPA should be on a hot summer day. I could even take an amped up version of this at 8%. lovely stuff.

Can thanks to Leighton. Nice crisp hoppy nose, grapefruit, some passion fruit, orange, crackery malts. Bright, shiny gold, clear, with a low thick head. Light, crisp, bright. High drinkability, juicy hops, more tropical in the mouth but orange and grapefruit too, plus white grapes. PRยฅrickly carbonation, peppery, mildly bitter finish. Excellent stuff.

330ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish golden colour with average to huge, foamy, mostly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Surprisingly somehow cushioned, fruity hoppy aroma has notes of pineapple, some passion fruit. Taste is moderately bitter, fruity hoppy, notes of pineapple, hints of passion fruit; slightly watery, soft carbonation. Quite insipid a character.
