Bottle. Opaque. Brown. Moderate head. Nose: caramel, dried fruit, toast. Similar taste. Medium minus body. Low bitterness. It was rather like a dunkler bock in my opinion.

On tap at Teerenpeli, pours black with a reddish tinge and a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, some cocoa and a bit of chalk. Flavour is quite malty, with a solid toasted caramel malt base for the beer, with some chalk and a hint of vanilla. It's alright.

33cl bottle from Alko. Poured dark brown color with a thin but dense off white head. Bready, grainy, malty aroma, getting some coffee and cocoa wibes. Syrupy malts as welm Light bodied with chocolate and coffee notes. Light ashy finish. Overall on the sweeter side.

Tap at Teerenpeli Kamppi, Helsinki. Color is almost black with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Licorice, some chocolate, some bread and roasted malts. Some nice bready elements but otherwise quite bad. Served again way too cold! Some syrupy and molasses at the finish.

Draught@SBWF 2009.
Dark brown color, small brown head. Roasted malts, some toasted vegetables in the nose. Sweet, liquerish, roasted and vegetably flavor. Simple strong porter, a bit too sweet for my liking, but above Teerenpeli’s standard line up.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Very dark brown, small beige head. Strong chocolatey nose. Burnt and roasty with asphalt and chocolate. Sweet and full bodied, concentrated and quite powerful. Salty bitter finish. I’m no fan of Teerenpelis session beers, but it seems to suit them well to ramp everything up one notch.
