A boastful body is the only way to describe our stout. Oats added to the grist in the mash tun accentuate the dark chocolate and caramel malts and provide smoothness by subduing the harsh and bitter characters of large amounts of roasted and black malts used to achieve the opaque color and complex character of the stout beer. Not to be taken lightly, our stout beer is bold and rich but oh so velvet smooth and further enhanced with a soft texture finish. It's Andra's personal favorite and she quality controls every batch.

Keg at the brewery, 8/24/24. Nitro. Black, large tan head, average retention. Aroma of roast, coffee. Taste is roast, chocolate, earthy hop, molasses. Well balanced, almost chewy. Nice.

On tap at Tamarack, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out medium roast, oats, and dry cocoa powder. Flavour is rich, with lots of oats, cocoa and medium roast. Dry and hearty. Good stout.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a large, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves plenty of lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very tasty.

Poured up on tap at the Tamarack brewpub with dark body and mahogany edges as well as thin mocha head. The aroma is on the modest side with essentially dark roasted malts running from front to back and allowing a brief sense of maltiness. The taste creates rich dark roasted maltiness, some dark roasted coffee and a bit of sweet molasses that helps even things out. Nice rich flavor. It seems this place does “roasty” brews very well. I’m diggin’ it.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, creamy head. Heavily roasty coffee/cocoa aroma. Mid dry with medium body and gentle mouthfeel. Lots of intriguing, smooth dark chocolate, medium bitterness. A top quality stout!
