Tap at Fakin. Murky chestnut brown, off white head. Nice, smooth, pleasant aroma, red fruit, assorted raisins and prunes, cocoa, some alcohol. Silky, silky taste... chestnut honey, cocoa, yeasty touches, the fruity touches come out at times, a dry finish heading towards near-astringency. Shame it didn't follow through on the aroma...

Vintage 0.33 bottle BB 08/2018 (I assume 2 years old or more), at home in Rome. Brune pour with practically no foam at all. Nose: evident signs of oxidation, leather, nutty, caramel and some caramel/vanilla flavor. Also aroma of alcohol. Mouth: flat, sweet sugary and red fruit. This one dd not fly well in my cellar. I will try to hunt a fresh bottle and re-rate....

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some caramel sweetness and dried fruits like dates and yeast. There's a spicy warmth in the finish.

Medium brown with a slight bit of haze. No head. On the nose, it's slightly fruity but on the palate, it's richer, toffeeish, and it has a subtle fruity complexity. I like this.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark dirty brown with a small beige head. Aroma reveals lots of prunes, figs, dates, etc. with some brown sugar and caramel. Flavour is very malty, with lots of dark dried fruits, caramelized brown sugar, and toffee. Malty, fruity, but not too sweet. Excellent.
