Cask at Rook and Gaskill Inn, York, N. Yorkshire. Dark nut brown. Mildly buttery and roasty. Light bodied with filling rounded mouthfeel. Low on hops, but plenty of cocoa. Nicely drinkable with low bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 3/06/2011. Dark, ruddy brown with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish caramel and berry fruits with a trace of roastiness and short, bitter finish. Fine.
