Das schwarze, sehr spezielle Bier, hat seinen Ursprung auf der grünen Insel. Die vielseitigen Aromen entstehen aus den verschieden stark gerösteten Malzen. Das „faex obscura“ mit dem beigen feinporigen Schaum, ist stark im Geschmack. Tipp: „faex obscura“ entfaltet sein volles Aroma am besten bei Kellertemperatur. Schenkt man in mehreren Etappen ein, bildet sich ein besonders schöner Schaum. Haltbarkeit 6 Monate bei kühler Lagerung

Appearance: Very dark brown, clear. Nice, tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, roasted, slight coffee. Taste: Dark malt, roasted. Slight burnt, some coffee. Smooth. Surprisingly nice. Bought: Zur alten Weinhandlung, 330 ml, CHF 3.50 Info: 22/11-2019, BB: 31/3-2020

Black color; medium sized compact head; a lot of yeast dans the bottle neck. Aroma of paper, some yeast, light roasted malt. Roasted malt flavor, high carbonation; dry mouthfeel, lean body. Decent Schwarz.

Bottled (500ml, BB 03/2011)
Deep brown-ruby color, small beige head. Light roastyness, minty, coffee beans, slightly vegetably nose. Light body. Coffee beans, toasted, almost chocolaty flavor. A bit ashy. This is reasonably good but as always, stout should be stronger.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, mild roasted malts, some slight yeastyness as well. Flavour is toffee, some roasted malts and some mild yeastyness. Mild dark berries as well.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Black, no head. Chocolatey nose. Mid dry with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Chocolatey and crisp, low bitterness. Light and subtle flavour of dark bitter chocolate.
