(Bottle, taster, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 9 Oct 2021) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, biscuits, vanilla, cinnamon and a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting, and a good and really tasty take on a stout version of the Italian dessert, without being too sweet. Great beer.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Bottle. A- Coffee grounds, roasty, earthy, mild vanilla, shortbread. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, nutella, earthy, cream, savory, sweet, cigarette ash. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Nice. Wish I would've cooled it a bit more and allowed it to warm from there. Almost a Ferrar Roche like taste. A little earthy and vegetal at points almost tasting slightly astringent but it worked alright and hits the tiramisu flavors.

33cl bottle from Boise Co-op. Black, oily pour, small finely beaded beige head. Aroma is baking chocolate, cinnamon. Taste adds light coffee notes. Semi-sweet palate, like a 70% cacao bar. Tasty.

Shared by Bart at Struise shop in Bruges. Another 'pastry stout' intended to mimic tiramisu... Thin and loose, yellowish beige, moussy head, but very unstable and quickly vanishing into almost nothing, over a black beer with mahogany brown edges. Aroma of cocoa powder, vanilla extract, brownies, Wiener Sachertorte, marzipan, molten 'fondant' chocolate, pipe tobacco, brown rum, walnut cake. Sweet, sugary onset, candied fig, marzipan, sourish brambleberry juice touch, softish carbo, slick and oily, full mouthfeel but not as creamy as expected from a stout belonging to this new desserty substyle. Rounded hazelnutty and very caramelly malt sweetness, deeply chocolatey in the middle with the expected retronasal dessert aspects coming up quickly, reminiscent of vanilla, chocolate and almond; lingering sweetness and 'dessertiness' but not as 'decadently' so as in other pastry stouts (think Omnipollo and the like), close to no hop bitterness but instead a light peppery effect from rum-like alcohol. Aromatic and tasteful, but perhaps lacking a bit in body.

Bottle. Pitch black. Small beige head. Aroma: bombastic biscuit cookies, nuts, chocolate, roast, ashes, smoke. Not my kind. Similar taste. Not as sweet you would imagine it would be. It might be even complex. Still a waste of time & money for those who prefere beer-like beer. Not again.
