Ciste Dhubh was brewed especially for a customer who wanted a dark beer with a low abv. The subsequent product was named after one of the hills behind the Cluanie Inn in Glenshiel.

Bottle, as Plockton Dark, on the train from Plockton to Dingwall, 18/10/13. Mahogony brown with a thin beige covering. Nose is bready malts, toffee, light vegetal tones but not unbearably so. Taste comprises bready malt, touch of toffee, fruity notes, cake mix. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitter notes in the finale. Ok mild/bitter.

50cl bottle. Appearance - dark amber into chestnut. Nose - coffee dark chocolate and cream. Some honey and biscuits too. Taste - chocolate biscuits and honey. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a slightly sweet but still enjoyable and enduring finish. Overall - great beer.
