As some kind of cross between an American Amber and a West Coast IPA , this beer was amplified various ways to get a higher kick than your regular Red Ales; however, the goal was a still balanced one to brew. Pours rusty red in your glass with a tan head, bold notes like pine, tropical and red fruits with some floral character emerge to the nose, combined with some toasty maltiness in the background. Taste is full bodied, alcohol is well hidden, and served at the right temperature, beside the caramel and juicy notes you will recognize a red winey warmth to finish in a silently lurking, long lasting bitterness, that finally cleans the palate. Works really well with seafood, burgers, Tex-Mex and other hot dishes.

On tap at Bishops Arms, Vasagatan. Almost clear dark golden with a medium head. Aroma and taste of hops, grass, some caramel and fruit. Also notes of light bread in the taste. The finish was quite bitter.

Keg at Bishops Arms Linnegatan, Stockholm. Hazy copper colour, small head. Citric hoppy nose. Dryish with underlying caramel sweetness, medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lime and lemongrass over caramelly malt. Solid but edgy.
