15/04 A 0.1 l bottle from Ammersin liquor store, Vienna. It poured dark brown, still body with very thick and slow legs. Aroma of some dark fruits, especially dried figs. Just a light glue off-note. Sweet flavor, caramel toasty and fruity, touch of wood or nuts, and of course alcoholic. Full, sticky body. Long, slightly tingling and warming aftertaste. Totally OK for a strong eisbock, drinkable, enjoyable, alcohol bites of course but nothing unbearable.

0.1l bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy who got it in Austria. Yay, my first Schorschbräu beer. Poured a very dark brown body, didn’t let any light through, but heavy insists that it’s clear so ok. Soy sauce, raisins, salty, plastic, sweet malty nose... heck, it burns my eyes trying to sniff it in a wide glass... that’s a first. The taste is, as expected, a sweet soy sauce, bomb but with a distinct chocolatey layer that seems nearly permanent and is the redeeming force of this. Oh, sure, so strange, messy notes of glue and plastic pop through, some rotten bananas even, this is more burning than warming, and all, but it manages to be interesting in a way. Definitely close to what I expected of this, a shade better, though hardly a beer I’d return to... often or not.
