Small size sample from bottle, poured by the man himself: Jean Van Roy. 2018 bottling. Pours a hazy golden colour. No discernable head. Aroma's are sourish, funky and woody. Retronasal there's even some additional sweetness, albeit very light. Flavour is mild sour. Light bodied. Long tartish finish.

Bottle at the source. Hazy pinkish-golden with fizzy white head. Earthy funk, white pepper, wet cellar, gooseberries, spicy grape skins, mineral, a hint of grapefruit, very dry wine, soft grain. Medium sour, under medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with nice sparkly mouthcoating carbonation. Nice.

2018 bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is fresh barn, a touch cheese, white wine, white pepper, great complexity. Taste is barn, cheesy, light wine, vineous barrel funk, peppery bite in the back. Silky mouthfeel with high, but fine-bubbled carbonation. Very tasty, amazingly mellow!
