Frydenlund Session IPA is a modern American style lager. The term 'session' harkens back to the days of WWI-era in England when munition workers were allotted short "session" breaks between shifts. Many workers would spend those breaks in the pub. As they knew they had to return to work, the workers preferred lower ABV beers that they could enjoy without getting too drunk before going back to work.
Frydenlund Session IPA is dry hopped with Cascade, Citra, Hallertauer Mandarina Bavaria and Mosaic hops. This beer has a beautiful amber colour. The aroma is hoppy with notes of papaya, mango and citrus. The taste is rich with a hoppy punch.

Big offwhite head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Resiny tropical fruit aroma with mealy and faintly rubbery notes. Dryish tropical fruit and flowers taste with mealy and faintly meaty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish resiny tropical fruit aftertaste with resiny gooseberry notes. It’s kind of ok, but too watery, and some off tastes show through. (0.5l can, from Meny Strømmen.)

50cl can from Meny Søndersrød, Helgeroa. Pours clear amber with a modest, off-white head. Mild fruity and hoppy aroma with malty notes, hints of honey and caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with low flavour intensity and a light bitterness. Fair enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Frydenlund Session IPA on 07 Jul 2016 at 23:21 - Score: 5

500ml can picked up at my local Prix store. A rocky white head to a bright amber coloured body. Clingy lacing down the glass. Modest aroma ogf grain and ripe fruits. Moments of brown malts, woolen hops and sweet orange to the taste buds. Drying end, more sweet than bitter. Drinkable, not quite in tune. (Tromsø 17.06.2016).

500 ml can. Clear golden body with high carbonation and medium sized, lacing, creamy off-white head. Mild, but nice, refreshing fruity aroma with hint of grapefruit. Flavor is relatively sweet malty, some caramel, light fruity and not very bitter. Medium top thin bodied and medium aftertaste. Drinkable, but one dimensional and not very exciting this one.

Golden with a white head - Malt and some hops in the aroma - Malt body to support a nice hop profile that has some fruity tones and hints of pine with a nice bitterness - The hops and bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice
