Handwerklich eingebraut nach dem B ayerischen Reinheitsgebot von 1516. Heftig getorftes, schottisches Malz. Einzigartiges Rauchbier weitab klassischer Vertreter mit Buchenholzaroma . Entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Nürnberger Whisky Club ‚The Most Venerable Order Of The Highland Circle’, dem Georg Rittmayer angehört. Nichts für Malzbiertrinker.

7% alk. Još jedna dimljena piva, ali ovog puta mnogo intenzivnija. Miris ima po nekakvom dimu ali ne mogu odredit kojem, najsličnije zapaljenoj gumi... A okus... isto nešto čudno, ali recimo kao prejako dimljeni špek skuhan u zagorjelom grahu.

Clear copper appearance with thin head. Aroma is intense and quite harsh with peat and barbecue-like notes. Flavour is similar but in a more subtle way. The sweetness of the malts comes through balancing out the peaty smoke.

Bottle, 330 ml from Broom, at Opatovina Beerfest. Pours dark orange to brown with off-white head. Malty, caramel, pronounced smoke aroma, quite sweet, lacking depth or complexity to support sweet and smoke character. Medium bodied.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours clear amber with a medium head but almost no retention. Aroma is peat, whisky, smoked malt, wood. Body is medium, strongly peaty, quite sweet and oily, bitterness more in the background. Still smoky, but also some bubble gum. Really sweet palate, a bit too much for me. A good smoked, but also too sweet.

Thank you tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ LIBF 2017. Clear orange deep amber with no head. Nose is massive medicinal chemical peat whisky smoke, overly so, awful. Taste is all medicinal, chemical, medicinal peat, chemcial smoke, industrial,... Sparkling. Real overkill for me in the worst way.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very peated, medicinal, chemical touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malty start, caramel, very peated, bitter touch, some banana. Aftertaste: bitter, malty, some dried fruits, very peated, smoky. Probably too smoky for some (a lot of) people, but still nicely done. However
I prefer wood smoke over peat smoke any day.

Bouteille 33cl on train to LIBF, thanks Tderoeck. Léger orange, col fin blanc. Arôme offre de fines effluves de tourbé, malté rétro un peu fumé, caramel et pâle. Ressent point d’effet houblonné. Palais est axé sur le tourbé sans pour cela être trop dominant, petite note savonneuse niveau houblonné - douceur perdure en fin de bouche avec un malté assurant la balance.
