650ml bottle. Cloudy, brown colour with ruby glimmer and slightly late awakening, small, to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Fruity hoppy and caramel malty aroma, notes of toffee, caramel, dried fruit, some raisin, fig, a touch of cherry, subtle hints of milk chocolate, a touch of wafer. Taste is fruity hoppy and caramel malty, slightly chocolately malty, notes of red apple, baked apple, dried fruit, cherry, raisin, some toffee, wafer, minmally dry, oaky overtones. Oily texture, super-soft, smooth, silky and creamy palate, soft carbonation, lingering, minimally cloying, malty finish. Very well crafted, a showcase of Hoppin' Frog's inimitable competence in malt selection, composition and handling, exquisite treatment of BA as well - a real improvement of but still subtle support for the basic beer without signs of meretriciousness.

On draught at the Hoppin’ Frog Tasting Room. Pours a dark amber color with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, butterscotch and oak. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, sweet brandy, vanilla and a touch of green apple. The finish is sweet with an oaky brandy aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
