Sample during the "Micah's Downstairs Reopening" tasting on 03/02/2018. Cloudy copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Smokey, fruity and floral aroma. Medium body with flavors of smoked malt, vinous oak, fruit and slight funk. The finish is smokey and oaky with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

At the source: pours copper with white head. Aroma is peaty, woody and a bit funky. Taste is smoky and lightly funky. Nice woody flavors. Powerful with a lingering wood smoked aftertaste.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ LIBF 2017. Thank you for sharing RB-InBev Belgian crew! Dark orange fruity, little white head. Nose is weird smoked, sour, charred oak & fruit. Taste is puckering with fun smoke, campfire, smoked meat, puckering, roasted barrel, low fruit. Easy basic smoked sour but a very pleasant experience. Nicely done. Great smoke profile.

5/VI/17 - sample from 75cl bottle @ LIBF 2017 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2017-730) Thanks to the Belgian RB crew for sharing today's beers!

Cloudy murky brownish to amber beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sourish, cow fodder, stable, fruity touch, bit oxidized. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, tannins, lemon juice, bit floral. Aftertaste: bitter touch, fruity, some citrus, grapefruit, very acidic finish. More a sour than a bière de garde, for sure...

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share. Orange, col fin blanc.

Bottle. Pours a bit hazy amber orange, small off-white head dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is smoky indeed, juniper and lemon, a bit of tart oaky funk, herbs. Flavor is light plus tart, medium smoke, quite an interesting flavor combination. I expect this would not be loved by the masses, but I am enjoying it. Medium body.
