Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, liquorice and some mild ashy tones. Flavour is chocolate, liquorice, coffee, some toffee and mild toasted and roasted notes. Somewhat bitter as well, but not overly so.

Bottled. Black, rich firm head. Aroma of coffee and licorice. Mid dry with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, licorice and coffee. Mid bitter finish. Harmonious.

Bottle 50 cl. Black with a minimal light brown head. Mild aroma of burned malt, coffee and oatmeal. Light bittersweet with a mild burned malt and oatmeal end.

Cola colored beer with light beige, good and long lasting head. Mild aroma has malts, some hints of roast. Taste has malts, roast, licorice and bitter coffee. Good balance on bitter. Almost medium body, but could be more strong. Still quite nice.

Smell of oat, tar, some vanilla. Black colour, high dark brown head. Aroma of vanilla, oat, tar. Surprisingly light body, slightly oily texture, lively carbon. Medium sweet, slightly bitter. Could be more robust.

A colablack beer, a head is beige and quite small. Aroma has roastiness of coffee, liquirice and some smoke. Taste has roastiness, coffee, some sweetness nad nice bitterness. Almost medium bodied, a more strenght body would be better but nice even now. Tasteful beer.

Tap at Bryggeri Helsinki. Opaque black / brown color, small steady brown head. Sticky chocolate and soya sauce aroma. Medium-bodied. Smooth. Chocolate, toasty maltyness, also some medicinal notes. Tolerable.

(Keg at Black Door, 20141114) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, dark chocolate and mildly sourness. Palate was rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, coffee, fruiitiness, burnt malts, coffee, mild sourness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A very nice dark roasty brew.

Draught @ OlutExpo 2014
Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma of roasty malts, oatmeal, toffee and chocolate. Taste is smooth, grainy and earthy with some roastiness, toffee and chocolate. Finish is sweetish, slightly roasty and grainy with some toffee. Quite sweet and smooth for a stout.

Draught @ Olut Expo Finland 2014
Aroma has oat, sweet chocolate notes, roastiness and some licorice. Also some toffee typical to English ales. Flavour has licorice, some deep roasted tones, coffee and some English hops. A bit too English for me.
